Pro-Lite Supplies Aurora with 2m Integrating Sphere

Pro-Lite has supplied a two-meter Labsphere integrating sphere system to leading LED lighting manufacturer, Aurora Lighting. Aurora’s focus on energy efficient lighting lead them to purchase the sphere in order to accurately measure the total light output of their LED light sources.
The significant investment by Aurora is now displayed in pride-of-place within their LightLab at the company’s Apex Park facility in Welwyn Garden City. The two-meter-diameter integrating sphere is equipped with a Labsphere spectroradiometer providing precise performance data, more accurate than that of a traditional photometer. The system reports lumen output, colour temperature, colour rendering index, chromaticity and binning accuracy.
The refurbished facility, known as Alex 2.0, is designed to immerse visitors in an environment where they can experience the difference between halogen, CFL and LED light sources as well as illustrating the colour temperature of the different sources.
Pro-Lite provides test solutions for the UK lighting industry, offering manufacturers the opportunity to verify the efficiency of their luminaires, helping to ensure they go to market with trusted, reliable products.
