Meet the Pro-Lite Team

Ian Stansfield

Ian Stansfield has a BSc in Physics & Astronomy and an MSc in Optoelectronics.

After graduating, Ian joined Electrox as a development engineer working on high power CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers. Ian moved into technical sales in 1992 when he joined Optilas Ltd. When Optilas became BFi Optilas, Ian was appointed to the position of Business Development Director. Ian left this position to co-found Pro-Lite with Robert Yeo in September 2002.

Robert Yeo

Robert Yeo was a founding partner of Pro-Lite in 2002. Robert, gained a BSc in Physics and Laser Technology from the University of Essex in 1986 and an MSc in Laser Applications in 1987. 

Robert joined Oxford Lasers in 1987 as an Applications Engineer. Robert decided to move fully into technical sales and joined Optilas in 1989. In 1996, Robert was appointed Managing Director of Labsphere Ltd, the subsidiary of the US manufacturer of light measurement equipment and integrating spheres. In 2000, Robert took the position of Sales Manager at Spectron Lasers Ltd where he assumed responsibility for worldwide sales of the company’s Nd:YAG, CO₂, dye and OPO lasers for scientific applications.

Robert has worked on several British Standards technical committees tasked with developing standards relating to laser safety and UV transmission (SPF) testing and sat on the steering committee for the UK National Physical Laboratory ORM Club (formerly the Spectrophotometry & Colorimetry Club). In 2005, Robert was invited to develop a Short Course in Photometry & Colorimetry for the Photonics Cluster UK which he has now delivered to over 120 delegates. Robert sought to make these complex subjects accessible to those unfamiliar with light and optics and the course has found particular favour with those working with LEDs, solid state lighting and displays.

Jayde Clews

Jayde joined Pro-Lite in 2005 as Sales Administrator.

Jayde hails from Borehamwood, the Hertfordshire town made famous for its film studios. Although the film industry there is but a shadow of its former self, Borehamwood today lays claim to being the location for the Big Brother house and is still home to the BBC Elstree studios, at which Holby City and Eastenders are produced. Jayde assures us she has never appeared in either programme, but we're sure we've seen that face somewhere before.....

Jayde is a consumate organiser and takes enormous pride in ensuring that Pro-Lite customers receive only the very highest levels of service. Jayde is passionate in her mission to ensure that our customers get the right product at the right time.
