Application Overview: Lamps

This page provides an overview of the products and services which Pro-Lite offers for those working with lamps and luminaires. The measurement equipment is listed by measurement parameter; please note that spectral measurement systems measure the spectral radiant output of the lamps and compute the photometric and colorimetric parameters. Note that the majority of Labsphere equipment is modular, allowing you to configure (for example) a Starter package for spectral flux now, and upgrade to a Choice grade spectrometer as your needs require or budget permits.

In addition to test & measurement equipment, we provide software design tools, measurement services and a training course aimed at those new to the field of light measurements, photometry and colorimetry.

Imaging Sphere

Angular Intensity

The novel Imaging Sphere™ IS-LI from Radiant Imaging measures the full 2π hemispherical luminous intensity and colour variation from individual lamps in a couple of seconds.

Konica Minolta CL-200 Illuminance Colorimeter

Illuminance

The lux level at a given location can easily be measured using an illuminance photometer. From Konica Minolta we offer the T-10 portable photometer, while the CL-200 is a lux meter which doubles as a tristimulus colimeter to record the colour (chromaticity, x y or u' v') and colour temperature of the light source.

  • Konica Minolta CL-200 illuminance colorimeter

Labsphere HLMS-200P Photometer

Luminous Flux

Filter-based integrating sphere photometers that measure the total luminous flux (lumens) from lamps and luminaires.

ProMetric CCD Imaging Photometer

Spatial Illuminance

A ProMetric™ CCD Imaging photometer simplifies the measurement of the spatial illuminance and colour distribution from lamps, LEDs and luminaires. The camera records the illuminance and colour at literally millions of points at a time. The ProMetric photometer can be used to measure the spatial illuminance variation as well as the angular variation of luminous intensity. See our Case Study for an example of how ProMetric simplifies the measurement of indoor illuminance distributions and so help to improve lighting in the home and workplace.

Labsphere LMS-100 Integrating Sphere

Spectral Flux

Versatile, interior access integrating sphere spectroradiometers for total flux measurements with all sizes and powers of light sources. Reports spectral radiant flux (Watts per nm), luminous flux (lumens), chromaticity, colour temperature, dominant wavelength and colour rendering. Choose from two grades of CCD spectrometer: Starter systems use the CDS-500/510; Choice systems use the CDS-1100/2100 for improved sensitivity. All systems use LightMtrX application software and an LMS series light measurement integrating sphere.

Labsphere E-1000 Cosine Corrected Irradiance Receiver

Spectral Irradiance

Measurements of spectral irradiance are correctly measured using a cosine-corrected receiver, an ideal achieved using an integrating sphere. Reports spectral irradiance (Watts per sq. meter per nm), illuminance (lux), chromaticity, colour temperature, dominant wavelength and colour rendering. Choose from two grades of CCD spectrometer: Starter systems use the CDS-500/510; Choice systems use the CDS-1100/2100 for improved sensitivity. All systems use LightMtrX application software.

Konica Minolta CS-2000 Spectroradiometer

Spectral Radiance

The CS-2000 from Konica Minolta is the very latest, state-of-the-art spectroradiometer designed specifically for high accuracy spectral radiance, luminance and colour measurements.
