LaserVision continues to lead the way in technologically-advanced laser safety products that satisfy the requirements of BS EN 207 and 208. LASERVISION glasses are designed, tested and approved in accordance with European regulations that not only guarantee the required minimum optical density but also that the glasses (filter and frame) will withstand the specified laser for at least 10 seconds (CW) or 100 pulses. The legal regulations require a single type-approval test to achieve the CE-mark; LASERVISION voluntarily makes its products subject to a much more complicated and costly procedure (DIN GS) in order to be able to guarantee continuous quality. Our eyewear is tested by independent institutes (e.g. the German Physikalisch-Technische-Bundesanstalt PTB, DIN CERTCO, or Bayerisches Laserzentrum BLZ). Only products that are tested and certified according to these rules may carry the “DIN” notation included in the marking of the glasses.
