In-Vitro Sunscreen Testing Seminar

Light: the fuel of life

Join Pro-Lite, Labsphere, Q-Lab and Helioscreen at the Institute of Physics in London on June 7th for a 1-day seminar dedicated to the in-vitro testing of sunscreen SPF and UVA protection. The testing of sunscreen products is undergoing a shift from in-vivo to in-vitro test methods. Get the latest information on global standards and techniques, understand light stability testing, and learn how to improve the accuracy of your measurements.

Speakers from Labsphere, Q-Lab and Helioscreen will provide an overview of the following topics:

  • In-Vitro testing instruments: understanding the specification.
  • The correlation between In-Vivo and In-Vitro measurements.
  • The key parameters for reliability of In-Vitro evaluation sun tests and photodegradation methods.
  • The testing methods: COLIPA, Boots Star, FDA & ISO.

Demonstrations of the Labsphere UV-2000S suncreen analyser and the Q-Lab Q-Sun Xe-1a solar simulator will be provided. Representatives from Helioscreen will be on hand to discuss the use of their PMMA plates in suncreen testing.

The seminar will take place at the Institute of Physics (76-78 Portland Place, London, W1B 2NT) from 10:00 to 17:00. There is a registration fee of £100 per delegate. Space is limited so we encourage you to register early.
