Recalibration & Repair

Coherent FieldMax Laser Power Meter

Coherent & Molectron Laser Power & Energy Meters

Recalibration and repairs are provided for laser power and energy meters made by Coherent (Auburn) and Molectron (Molectron was acquired by Coherent in 2002). Annual recalibration is a requirement to maintain Coherent's extended, lifetime warranty (restrictions apply). To help us to provide you with a quotation in a timely manner, please let us know the model and serial number of your meter and probe(s) and any special requirements.

Labsphere LPMS Radiometer

Light Measurement Systems

Annual recalibration of your radiometer or photometer ensures that you maintain traceability to NIST standards. Please note that photometers carry either a lamp-based or detector-based calibration: if your system has a lamp-based calibration, you need a calibrated lamp standard; for those instruments with a detector-based calibration, we offer the following calibrations of the detector responsivity in amps per (optical unit), e.g. amps per Watt:

  • Luminous flux, SCC-LF: lumens (lm).
  • Illuminance, SCC-IL: lux (lx) or foot candles (fc).
  • Luminance, SCC-LU: candelas per sq. meter (cd/m2) or foot Lamberts (fL).
  • Radiant flux, SCC-PS: Watts (W) at single, defined wavelength(s) between 300-1100nm or 800-2400nm.
  • Radiant flux, SCC-PM: Watts (W) every 25nm from 300-1100nm or 800-1800nm.
  • Radiance, SCC-RA: Watts per steradian per sq. meter (W/sr.m2) - this is an integrated spectral measurement within defined wavelength limits.

Labsphere USS-600 Uniform Light Source

Uniform Light SourceSystems

The following NIST traceable calibrations are available for integrating sphere uniform light sources:

  • Source luminance, SCC-LU, candelas per sq. meter (cd/m2) or foot Lamberts (fL).
  • Source illuminance, SCC-IL, lux (lx) or foot candles (fc).
  • Source radiance, SCC-RA, Watts per steradian per sq. meter (W/sr.m2) - this is an integrated spectral measurement within defined wavelength limits.
  • Source luminance uniformity, USC-PM - this is an on-axis mapping of the luminance over the plane of the exit port (off-axis mapping also available).
  • Source spectral radiance, USC-SR, Watts per steradian per sq. meter per micrometer (W/sr.m2.µm), 300-2400nm.
