STAN-SSH & STAN-SL Specular Standards
Standards of high & low specular reflectance for the 200-2500nm rangeStandards of specular reflectance are used as references when measuring the reflectance of materials with specular reflectance. The Ocean Optics STAN-SSH is a standard of high reflectance and is used when measuring samples such as optical substrates, optical coatings, machined metals and semiconductor materials. The STAN-SSL is a standard of low reflectance and is used to test thin film and anti-reflective coatings, blocking filters and substrates. STAN-SSH High Reflectance Specular StandardThe STAN-SSH is a 1.25 inch front surface mirror based upon fused silica with a protective overcoat. It provides a reflectance in excess of 85% across the 200-2500nm range. The STAN-SSH-NIST is calibrated against a NIST master (# NIST38060S, s/n 99G16) with an approximate uncertainty of 0.1% (250-2500nm) and is supplied with a certificate of calibration, a data sheet charting the spectral reflectance and a CD containing calibration data that can be transferred to Ocean Optics spectrometer application software. The standard is housed in an anodised aluminium cup with screw lid. A convenient holder (model STAN-HOLDER) is available as an accessory for keeping the standard in place during measurements. STAN-SSL Low Reflectance Specular StandardThe STAN-SSL is a 1.25 inch black glass standard with a reflectance of approximately 4.0% across the 200-2500nm range. The standard is housed in an anodised aluminium cup with screw lid. A convenient holder (model STAN-HOLDER) is available as an accessory for keeping the standard in place during measurements.
